Microsoft Copilot Uptime History
Daily uptime recorded by PulsAPI over the last 90 days, with the days that carried a Microsoft Copilot incident marked. Each day is measured from our own checks, so the record continues even when the vendor publishes nothing.

What to Do When Microsoft Copilot Is Down
Copilot spans several surfaces that fail independently: Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps, Copilot Chat on the web, GitHub Copilot in an editor, and Copilot in Windows. They share branding, not infrastructure. 'Is Copilot down' almost always means one of these specifically, and the answer for one says little about the others.
The most common failure is not an outage but an authentication or licensing edge: Copilot silently disappearing from an Office ribbon is usually a licence assignment or tenant policy change rather than a service problem. If it vanished for one user and not the team, look at the tenant before the status page.
For genuine service problems, note that Copilot depends on the underlying Microsoft 365 service being healthy. An Exchange or SharePoint incident degrades Copilot features that read from them, and it will present as Copilot being broken rather than as an Exchange incident.
Microsoft Copilot Status Page vs PulsAPI
Microsoft reports service health primarily inside the Microsoft 365 admin center, which is tenant-scoped and requires an admin sign-in. That is genuinely useful, and it is unavailable to most of the people asking whether Copilot is down, including every developer without admin rights on their own tenant.
PulsAPI checks the publicly observable surface from outside, without a tenant, and keeps the record. It will not see a tenant-scoped advisory, and it will see an outage that has not been posted yet.
