Sharing Groups

Share groups with teammates or generate public token links for read-only access.

Sharing Groups

PulsAPI makes it easy to share a curated view of service health with your team or anyone outside your organization.

Sharing with team members

If you are part of a team, any group you create can be shared with other team members directly:

  1. Open the group you want to share.
  2. Click the Share button in the top-right corner.
  3. In the Team members section, search for a teammate by name or email.
  4. Select the member and click Share.

Shared members will see the group on their own dashboard board. They can view all services and statuses inside the group.

Shared members receive a read-only view. Only the group owner can modify its contents.

Token links let you share a group with anyone — even people who do not have a PulsAPI account.

  1. Open the group and click Share.
  2. Select the Token Link tab.
  3. Click Generate Link. A unique URL is created (e.g., https://pulsapi.com/shared/g/abc123token).
  4. Copy the link and send it to anyone who needs access.
  • The group name and its list of services.
  • Current status of every service and component in the group.
  • The page auto-refreshes so viewers always see the latest data.

Token link viewers cannot modify the group, see your account details, or access any services outside the group.

  1. Open the group, click Share, and go to the Token Link tab.
  2. Click Revoke Link.
  3. Confirm the action.

Once revoked, anyone with the old URL will see a "Link expired" page. You can generate a new link at any time — it will have a different token.

Token links provide public, unauthenticated access to the group's status data. Do not share links containing sensitive service names if that is a concern for your organization.

Removing shared access

As the owner

  1. Open the group and click Share.
  2. Find the team member in the shared list and click Remove.

As a shared member

  1. Open the shared group on your dashboard.
  2. Click the overflow menu (three dots) on the group card and select Leave Group.

The group disappears from your board but remains unchanged for the owner and other shared members.
